Olivia Rodrigo has announced that a deluxe version of Guts is coming but you can already listen to four of the extra songs.
As soon as Olivia Rodrigo's Guts was released, it was lauded as one of the standout projects of 2023. Leaning harder into the pop rock sound of Sour, Olivia's sophomore record has received widespread critical acclaim. From the heartbreaking 'Making the Bed' to the hilarious 'Get Him Back!', there's something for everyone on the Guts tracklist.

However, ahead of the release of Guts, Olivia teased a deluxe edition of the album with four additional songs and she has now confirmed that a deluxe version of the album is dropping with the new songs 'Obsessed', 'Sacred of My Guitar', 'Stranger', 'Girl I've Always Been' and 'So American' on March 22nd.

Olivia's deluxe version of Guts will be released at midnight LOCAL TIME. That means it'll be available to stream in your country as soon as the clock strikes 00:00/12 AM.
The deluxe songs are already available to stream in places like Australia and New Zealand, and fans are sharing them. So, if you haven't heard them yet and want to experience it for the first time when they drop, avoid social media until it's released!
How many extra songs are on the Guts (Spilled) album?
The day before Guts came out in September 2023, Olivia released a trailer on her YouTube channel and fans immediately spotted that it included a glitch when the tracklist comes up. For a brief second at 0:26, the standard tracklist disappears and four songs appear titled: 'Obsessed', 'Sacred of My Guitar', 'Stranger' and 'Girl I've Always Been'.
These songs were later discovered to have been included as a surprise final song on each vinyl variant – one per variant.
Now though, they'll all be available to stream alongside the rest of the album. And Olivia has even added an extra song on the deluxe version. Here's the full five extra songs that will be on GUTS (spilled):

- 'Girl I've Always Been'
- 'Scared of My Guitar'
- 'Stranger'
- 'So American'

What are Olivia Rodrigo's Guts deluxe songs about?
Based on the lyrics which have now been transcribed by fans, 'Scared of My Guitar' appears to be about Olivia being scared of how honest she is when she's writing music. She sings: 'I'm so scared of my guitar / 'Cause it cuts right through to the heart / Yeah, it knows me too well so I've got no excuse / I can't lie to it the same way that I lie to you'.
Meanwhile, 'Obsessed' is about being obsessed with a lover's ex. Olivia sings: 'I'm so obsessed with your ex'. As for 'Girl I've Always Been', it appears to be a new self-aware, self-love anthem. The chorus goes: 'I've got panic rooms inside my head / And I get down with crooked men / But I am the girl I've always been'.
Finally on 'Stranger', Olivia sings about getting over a breakup. She sings: 'I was half myself without you / Now I feel so complete / I can't even remember what made me lose all that sleep / I cried million rivers for you, but that's over now / You're just a stranger I know everything about'.
'So American' is a completely new song so we'll find out the lyrics to it on Friday when it drops.
