But fast forward to 2023 and the Saltburn star and his on screen enemy are known simply as colleagues and rumoured exes.

To be fair to the Euphoria co-stars, they never confirmed they were in a relationship despite fuelling the rumours for a whole year, but fans wondered if they dated before he moved on with now-ex Kaia Gerber.

Jacob and Zendaya never confirmed they were an item, but sources told E! they began as “close friends” until things became “romantic” once they’d finished filming Euphoria, which would have been between 2018 and 2019.
Zendaya and Jacob were first linked in August 2019 after starring in Euphoria together and were seen on multiple occasions looking incredibly close.
In February 2020 they were spotted kissing in New York, which was pretty much confirmation they were a couple at the time.
Whether they were a couple or not, it looks like they eventually ended what they had after Jacob was pictured looking close to American model Kaia in summer 2020 – who he eventually dated for about a year.

Jacob, like Zendaya, isn't one to comment on his private life understandably, but he did seem to address the backlash he received over the first photos of him out with Kaia Gerber shortly after the rumours he was dating Zendaya with a lengthy social media statement.
With a screenshot of his video call with his parents, Jacob said he often feels anxious about being a long distance from his mum and dad, and that they worry about him too.
He wrote to his 10.5 million Instagram followers to "try a little kindness", reminding them "I am a human being."

Jacob has most recently been linked to Olivia Jade Giannulli after they were spotted together weeks after his split from Kaia.
He dated model Kaia from 2020 to 2021 but they split shortly after celebrating one year together. It's thought they remain amicable.
Previously, Kaia dated Ariana Grande’s ex-fiancé Pete Davidson.
