Charlie Puth spoke to E! News about how, before his friend, Mac Miller's death, he tried his hardest to help him become sober.
Following the shocking news of rapper Mac Miller's death, Charlie Puth spoke openly about his friendship with the 'Dang!' artist.
In the six months leading up to his death, Charlie said he had "became really good friends" with Mac Miller.

After the pair had both trained with Harley Pasternak, Mac Miller and Charlie Puth formed a friendship, and "talked almost every day".
The 'Attention' star then became quite tearful, as he said "I always thought I'd be the one to help him get clean and to lead him onto the path of a good, clean, sober life".
He went on to say that he felt like he didn't do enough after his tour to help support the rapper.
